Aquatic Biodiversity Workshop with Dara Timpson, Heritage in Schools

rathleenationalsch

The aim of Dara's workshop is to immerse the students in the abundant biodiversity that exists in their local streams, rivers or lakes, with a real emphasis on ‘hands-on’ learning. His visit began with a short, interactive presentation, followed by a practical laboratory session in class, where children explored samples of macroinvertebrates from their local watercourse, Leaffoney River and a tank with 2 brown trout.
